OK, I've sewn the back and top together, it fits fine and I've also got the ruffle on. I just need to anchor down the top layer with a few stitches from behind. It's a lovely easy pattern and no zip involved, just a button and loop - that's all I need to do now and also get the sleeves in. Should all be done ready for tomorrow's deadline though! I'm having to balance this project with the International Craft Swap, for which I just have a few stitches left to do ... can't picture it here yet though or it would spoil the surprise!
Very pretty fabric! I've used this pattern many, many times for my daughters. It's a great basic pattern.
ReplyDeleteI've really enjoyed making it Jan. Thanks for your comment!
DeleteBeautiful fabric Diane. and love that pattern..
ReplyDeleteBty... Did you know that Faye moved the deadline up to
next Wednesday [yea].. Because of Easter being during that
time, she said, it would give us a few more days.. I was
so proud, because I had been sewing for the granddaughters..
But, I am now ..working on my blouse too..
Can't wait to see your finished top.. Happy sewing.
Glad we had a bit of extra time Judy! Love your tops.
