Minerva Product Testing - Felt Duffel

Another bit of news preventing me from posting about my finished Aviation dress is that my Felt Duffel is now live on the Minerva Crafts website here.  You can read all about how I made it from their printed felt sheets.  It was a really enjoyable make.  Busy with my next Product Testing project now ... seem to have my sewjo back again 😆

Tartan Tote

I managed to get this made from the bits of tartan I had left over from my 'plaid week' disaster.  I've teamed it with some curly pile chocolate brown fun fur to make a strong base and handles.  There was a lot of pulling and stretching and tugging involved with the tartan - it had distorted in the washing machine, which is why I had such a hard time of it making a skirt.  Anyway, I managed to get two rectangles of it back in shape and voila!  I made the bag design up myself, working around the pieces I had left and lined it with some deep brown cotton sheeting, adding an internal pocket for phone, keys etc.  This is up for sale in my Folksy shop now ... fingers crossed ... someone has listed it as a 'favourite'!

Amy Butler Tote

I've made a Tote Bag, my design in Amy Butler fabric, which I've put up for sale at http://www.folksy.com/ under marguerite designs.  It's an experiment really, to see if anything sells and also how to price things.  It's really difficult arriving at a final sum, when considering the time and effort gone into the product.  I honestly don't think people realise ...

I'm doing a make-up bag to go with it as well.
