Duvet at the Races
As you know, TED enjoyed a day out at Newmarket Races last week, where I had the opportunity to wear my Duvet Dress. I made it with one side of a double duvet from a leading UK discount store, coupled with a Vogue Repro pattern from 1953 (which was a free special offer from a daily newspaper). Will definitely make this again! It's flattering to wear and is very easy to stitch up. I like the front pleat instead of darts. The crossover front also gives room to manoevre.

Your dress is beautiful, and I would never have guessed that the fabric started off life as a duvet, it looks very expensive.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're missing Ted, he is a wonderful companion, but I've no doubt William will soon settle in and be every bit as cheeky and fun as Ted. Please let us see William soon.
LOVE it! I've still to get one of the free patterns from the newspaper! But I love that you made this one from a duvet...it looks fabulous!
