What should I sew? Need your help ...

I am hoping to break my sewing fast with a sneaked in project and plan to join The Monthly Stitch in March but the challenge over there asks that it should be using a pattern that's never been sewn before.  The double whammy is that it must also be chosen by blog viewers!  So if there are still some sewing fans out there after the knitfest, can you help me please?  I've three to show you:

There's the oversized check coat, a bomber jacket - see middle drawn illustration - in a sketchy floral print and lastly, the Sewaholic Cambie in a spotted dark floral.  I'm kind of hoping it will be a coat/jacket that's the favourite, as I've made loads of dresses and I'd like to get into some other area of sewing.  Future plans (not for this project) include a trenchcoat ....  Anyway, I'm waiting to hear!

  1. CAMBIE!! It's all about the Cambie. I have heard such good things about this pattern and I got a copy for Christmas and will be sewing one come springtime.

  2. I must admit, the Cambie is my first choice too. Such a cute design, and I love that fabric choice! :-)

  3. Well as this is the last week of Summer for me, and then Spring and Winter will quickly be knocking, I would be choosing either the coat or the jacket, probs leaning towards the jacket ... J

  6. Since it's only February, and Summer won't kick in till July, I'd happily say go for the tartan swing coat- it'll get plenty of wear!

But I'm loving the two prints for the other projects, so make those later too, because they'll be fab too.
