Sewing for Men

Or rather one man in particular ... this is my sewing goal for this year.  I've decided that I still have way too many clothes myself and will make for 'me' on an irregular basis this year.  I've never attempted men's clothing before so I'm starting with an easy to sew waistcoat pattern and some lovely woollen cloth made in Yorkshire which I found at Croft Mill.  I'll keep you posted!

  1. Diane, best wishes on your waist coat.. Bet it will be really nice..
I don't sew for men.. I had to laugh, when I read your post.. Kenny and I have been married for 43 yrs, and the first year we were married, he bought me a sewing machine.. I didn't know how to sew.Well after having a baby girl the next year . I started making her simple little sun dresses.. It was all I could do.. well. I got the bright idea, that I would rip up a pair of Kennys jeans, and use it for a pattern to make him a pair of jeans.. Oh Diane, they were AWFUL... He will tell you to this day.. 'oh no, I don't want you to sew me anything... remember those jeans?"... So I stick with girls clothes.hahaha

  3. Surely this man vest will be a winner, dear Marguerite. I'm sure it will be the beginning of many men's clothing sewn in home. A kiss.
