Well, I got as far as finding the pattern and I very nearly had the fabric, which I spotted at Croft Mill, but wasn't quick enough off the mark to get some of it. There was 2.5 metres left - exactly what I needed, but by the time I was able to order it, there was only 1.5 metres! How frustrating was that! It was in a beautiful shade of Royal Blue and woven in a Yorkshire Mill which I think sold out quickly because of the Jubilee. Anyway, I'm still on the look out for the perfect fabric for this pattern, which I treated myself to when it was my birthday. This is my first really old pattern and I sent off to the States for it. So, I do intend to do this challenge but not entirely sure when... I'm off fabric hunting at the weekend, so fingers crossed!
Don't know why but Blogger won't let me post a photograph of my pattern at the moment ... I'll try again in the next couple of days ...
Here it is!

Oh... so sorry Diane, that you didn't get to purchase the fabric you wanted. That is so frustrating..
ReplyDeleteGot my fingers crossed that you will find the perfect fabric..for your new pattern..
Happy sewing.
Can't wait to see it when you do get the fabric you wanted! Also, I had problems posting photos on blogger too. I ended up posting the code directly in the HTML version of the post (slightly annoying).
