A New Scarf

Patchwork this time and sporting one of my designer labels!  I made this for a friend to give away in a charity raffle.

I achieved the patchwork effect by first of all, sewing alternate stripes of black and patterned in a long length.  I then cut the length into three equal strips, which I staggered, pinned and machined.  The fabric is a kind of velour, which I've backed with plain black satin.  This gives it very luxurious feel.  Simple but effective!  It's similar to some I made last year (below), which I managed to sell.
