Patchwork this time and sporting one of my designer labels! I made this for a friend to give away in a charity raffle.
I achieved the patchwork effect by first of all, sewing alternate stripes of black and patterned in a long length. I then cut the length into three equal strips, which I staggered, pinned and machined. The fabric is a kind of velour, which I've backed with plain black satin. This gives it very luxurious feel. Simple but effective! It's similar to some I made last year (below), which I managed to sell.
