Floral Corsage

This month's 'Let's Knit' magazine has this free corsage kit on the front.  Really like the way it's turned out and am making another in blues and beige to go on a simple knitted bag I've made, just to liven it up a bit.

And so it continued ...

Over into the weekend though it's cleared now.  You can tell how much snow there was by looking at the little 'hat' on the table!

Another Award - I am so honoured!

Another accolade from Jane over at Daisy Donut - she's keeping me busy thinking of people I can pass them on to ... (which I really don't mind).  This one is awarded for leaving comments on other people's blogs - something I like to do as I know myself how nice it is to get positive feedback.

Me in my Hat

I was snowed in this week and couldn't get to work for one of the days, which meant that I could get some decent photos of my Rylands Hat at last.  Seriously wouldn't be without it at the moment.  Although it looks like a beret flat, it's a pull-on when worn.

Jane over at Daisy Donut has just awarded me this - I'm over the moon, as I haven't had anything like this for some time now and it proves that people are still out there and reading my offerings!  I need to have a big think about who to pass it on to, as with all of these kinds of awards, there are conditions attached.  Anyway, thank you so much!

New Year Knitting Roundup

I'm surprised at how much I actually did last year apart from the 2 coursework modules.  6 separate things and also a half completed (doing it now) baby blanket and another side to a sequin shrug that I started in winter 2011!  I'm using the shrug as my taking part project for Debi's 3rd Sew Grateful 2013 event that's coming up in February.  It'll all be done apart from the sewing up and picking up stitches round the armhole and that will be a good excuse to complete it.

The second batch from 2012.  I'm beginning to think about 2013 now .... have already bought in some coating fabric to make a patchwork style reversible Koos Van Der Akker jacket.  I got the Vogue pattern in the sale .. I thought I should stretch my boundaries a bit!  Wish me luck (though I see myself posting about this towards the back end of the year ...).
